Switch Details:

The design is primarily driven by a 6-32 screw and fitting in mounting hardware and solder pads while trying to keep the size as small as possible without making it so small it’s impractical. A PEM nut is mechanically pressed into the rear of the PCB and soldered to the pad, so the solder joint itself should not see much mechanical load. When the screw is tightened down, it makes an electrical connection between the top and rear of the PCB, which are routed to the solder pads.
